Maggie Stone is your funniest friend — the one who says exactly what everyone else is thinking, just louder and with better timing. She came to adult coloring books after a spectacularly bad Tuesday that she’d rather not get into, discovered that swearing while coloring is genuinely therapeutic, and decided to make it her whole thing. Maggie has strong opinions about people who reply-all, coworkers who “circle back,” and anyone who schedules a meeting for 4:45 on a Friday.

She also has strong opinions about line weight, composition, and the under-appreciated art of botanical illustration, which is why her books look significantly better than her mood. Maggie lives somewhere in the Midwest with a dog who has never once been a problem, an ex-husband who has been an ongoing one, and a very large collection of fine-tipped colored pencils. She writes the way she talks: directly, a little too loud, and with the occasional word that would make her grandmother wince.

Maggie hopes this book gives you a place to set down the noise for a while, laugh at the chaos, and color something beautiful without having to be productive about it. If a page helps you breathe easier, swear softer, or avoid sending one regrettable email, she considers that a job well done.
